YANINA PRUDENKO

Independent curator and researcher, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of Kyiv T.G. Shevchenko National University. Curator of an independent educational initiative in the New Art School media art space. Since 2008, she has been the founder and curator of an independent research initiative aimed at preserving Ukrainian media art from the early 1960s to the present. Since 2015, she is the founder and head of the NGO Dzyga Media Lab, whose main goal is to support Ukrainian media art. Author of the book “Cybernetics in the Humanities and Arts in the USSR” (Moscow: CSM Garage). She held  lectures and presentations on media art in various cities of Ukraine (Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Ivano-Frankivsk, etc.), as well as in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Armenia, Russia, Italy, Austria, France. Curator of the following projects: “Warning! New Media Inside” (2014, Žilina, Slovakia), “Trained Glitches” (2014, Art Arsenal, Kyiv, Ukraine), “Premonition'013” (2015, Hudgraf Gallery, Kyiv, Ukraine), “EcoBiruchiy” (2015, art residence Biruchiy Contemporary Art Project, Ukraine), “Peace Never Again” (2015, GOGOLfest, Kyiv, Ukraine), “Psychedelic Invasion” (2015, the Wrong, New Digital Art Biennale, art center “Pushkinskaya, 10, St. Petersburg), “¡WARNING!” (Volkersdorf, Austria; Lviv Palace of Arts, Ukraine), “Re (De) Construction” (2016, Wroclaw, Poland), “Exhibition of Achievements of Ukrainian Media Art” (2017, CSM Factory, Moscow), “Method” (2017, Master Class Gallery, Kyiv, 2018; Dzyga Gallery, Lviv), “Poltava Prometheus” (2019, JUMP Gallery, Poltava, Ukraine).
